ClassKeep uses a small set of cookies and similar technologies to operate the platform and — with your consent — to understand how the product is used. You can change your cookie preferences at any time using the "Cookies" link in the footer.
Categories
Essential (always on)
- Authentication — Better-Auth session cookies (`classkeep.session_token`, `classkeep-student.session_token`) keep you signed in.
- Preferences — `NEXT_LOCALE` remembers your language; `ck_consent` stores your cookie choices.
- Security — CSRF tokens and rate-limit identifiers protect form submissions.
Analytics (opt-in)
- PostHog — with analytics consent, the browser SDK records page views (no session replay). Independently, when PostHog is configured, the server sends first-party product events (for example sign-up, booking, and payment) using opaque ids such as
platform_…/student_…— not email or name. Opt out of client pageviews in the cookie banner. - Google Analytics (GA4) — sets the
_gaand_ga_<container>cookies (~13 months) to count unique visitors and measure aggregate marketing reach and traffic sources. Opt out at any time in the cookie banner.
Marketing (opt-in)
We currently do not use marketing cookies. When we add them (e.g. an attribution pixel for ad campaigns), we will list them here and request your consent before loading them.
Managing cookies
Use the cookie banner that appears on your first visit, or click the cookie link in the footer to revisit your choices. You can also block cookies in your browser settings; some Essential cookies are required for ClassKeep to function and cannot be disabled without breaking the Service.
