Payments & credits

Subscription plans

Define recurring memberships — monthly or yearly — that give students access to specific class types.

Subscription plans

A subscription plan is a recurring product students buy once and renew automatically. While they're subscribed, they can book the class types you've included in the plan without paying per class or spending credits.

Open Credits → Subscriptions to manage your plans.

When to use subscriptions

  • "Unlimited classes" memberships
  • "X classes per month" memberships
  • Studio-wide membership at a flat monthly fee
  • Anything you want to charge for on a recurring basis

Create a plan

    • Click New plan
    • Name it ("All-Access Monthly")
    • Pick a billing cadence — monthly or yearly
    • Set the price
    • Choose which class types are included (or mark it as all-access)
    • Optionally add promo codes (Stripe coupons)
    • Publish — ClassKeep syncs the plan to Stripe

Per-session overrides

By default a class session inherits its class type's subscription access. You can override on a single session if you want to exclude it from subscription coverage (e.g. a charity workshop that shouldn't be free for members).

What students see

Once published, plans appear on your booking page (Subscriptions block). Students subscribe via Stripe Checkout. After payment, their membership is active and they can book covered classes immediately.

How booking is paid for

When a subscriber books a class:

  1. Is the class covered by their active subscription? → covered, no charge
  2. Otherwise, fall back to credits if available
  3. Otherwise, charge drop-in via Stripe

This priority order keeps the experience predictable for members.

Cancellation

Students cancel from My account → Credits & plans. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; they keep access until then.

Multiple plans

A studio can run multiple plans concurrently (e.g. "Monthly" and "Yearly"). A single student can hold one active subscription per cadence.
