Configure what your team and your students get notified about — in-app, email and push.

Notifications

ClassKeep keeps everyone in the loop with an in-app inbox, email and push notifications. Open Settings → Notifications to choose what each role receives.

You can also click the bell icon in the top bar to open the inbox dropdown, and visit /dashboard/[slug]/notifications for the full inbox page.

Notification types

Common types include:

  • Booking confirmation — student booked a session
  • Booking cancellation — student or admin cancelled
  • Waitlist offer — a spot opened, the next person was notified
  • Failed payment — a charge or subscription invoice failed
  • Sub request — an instructor needs a substitute
  • New client signup — someone created an account on your studio
  • Credit balance low — a client's balance dropped below a threshold
  • Resource conflict — admin override happened
  • Invite claimed — an invited admin or client created an account

The preference matrix

For each notification type and each channel (in-app, email, push), you can opt staff and students in or out. A typical setup:

Each row can be toggled per channel.

Per-person preferences

Students can override their own preferences from My account → Notifications on the booking page. Instructors can do the same from their portal profile.

Push notifications

Push uses OneSignal. Students need to grant browser permission once, after which they receive notifications even with the booking page closed (depending on browser support). Native push for installed PWAs works on iOS 16.4+ and Android.

Email branding

Email templates use your studio name and primary color. They include unsubscribe links per the relevant privacy regulations. The "from" name is your studio; "from" address is a ClassKeep domain so deliverability stays high.
