Waiting list
Let students join a queue when classes are full, and notify them automatically when spots open.
Waiting list
When a class is full, ClassKeep can offer students a chance to join a waitlist instead of turning them away. When a spot opens, the system can notify the next person in line — or you can promote them manually.
Turn it on
Open Settings → Waitlist and toggle the master switch. While off, full classes simply show "Sold out" with no waitlist option.
You can also choose to auto-notify on cancellation: when a confirmed student cancels, the next person on the waitlist is offered the spot via in-app notification, push and (optionally) email.
Per–class type override
Each class type can override the studio default:
- Inherit — follow the studio setting
- Force on — always allow waitlist for this class type
- Force off — never show waitlist for this class type
This is useful for high-demand classes where you want a queue, even if you keep waitlists off elsewhere.
What students see
On the booking page, full classes show Join waitlist instead of Book. Waitlisted students appear in a list under the session and receive a confirmation message.
Managing the queue
Open the session on the schedule and switch to the Students tab. Below the booked attendees you'll find the Waitlist queue, where you can:
- Reorder — drag to change priority
- Promote — move someone into the booked list, freeing the next spot for the next person
- Notify — send a manual offer if auto-notify is off or you want to bump the alert
- Remove — take someone off the queue
Past attendees
When a session is cancelled by the studio, you can also notify past attendees of that class type that a spot has opened — a great way to fill seats fast.
